The Griffins Head is believed to be over 300 years old, and is a listed building in the centre of the village of Papplewick, a conservation area which in medieval times was the southern gateway to Sherwood Forest.

Our recent refurbishment has created a comfortable place to drink, eat and relax. While elements of a modern gastro pub have been introduced we have strived to maintain the informal country pub feel to the place, retaining the original features of the pub.

We now offer a menu which is all freshly prepared by our chefs, cooked to order using quality seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers.
