At the Griffins Head we use the best local suppliers we can find, providing us the freshest local and seasonal ingredients.

We use two butchers, Darren Price from Price and Fretwells of Tibshelf, and Johnny from J.T. Beedham's of Sherwood (Midlands winner and national finalist of the BBC's Local Food Heroes 2007). Both butchers source meat, game and poultry from local farms & shoots. We also get our partridges direct from the Prestwold Shoot, and pheasant from Woodcock Farm in Rothley. |
We support and encourage the growth of our local suppliers.
Our milk and cream are from Lubcloud Organic Dairy in Charnwood.

Our cheese is from Tim Brown, at Melton Cheeseboard, a true cheese expert and judge at the 2007 cheese world championship. |
Our fresh vegetables are delivered daily from Hudsons, and we visit local fruit farms in the summer to pick our own fruit.
Our fresh fish is delivered six times a week from M&J Seafood, based in Hinckley, who assure us that their catch is from renewable sources.
Our customers are given a handmade chocolate with their coffee, that is made especially for us by John at Chocolate Perfection, in Ashby.
